Stewart Sanderson has committed himself to Doncaster RLFC for the 2015 season.
The versatile winger has penned a one-year deal - much to the delight of chief executive Carl Hall.
Hall said: “It’s great to have Stewart around the place. He’s been with us for some time now and he’s a valued member of the squad.
“He’s a good, fit lad and that’s what we want at this club.
“He knows what we’re all about. We’re happy to keep Sando because he’s a great bloke as well.”
Hall also backed Sanderson to become a mentor for the club’s new batch of youngsters.
“Stewart understands the direction in which the club is going,” said Hall.
“He’s been quizzing me, and having a bit of craic, about who these young fellas are that are going to be snapping at his heels. That’s good. That’s what we want.
“To be fair to Stewart he’ll try and look after them too, and teach them to do the right things. There’ll be no one more pleased than Stewart if they get into the team and do a good job.”
Meanwhile, the Dons have announced they will face Super League giants and reigning Challenge Cup holders Leeds Rhinos in a pre-season friendly.
