Defender Luke O’Neill says the Iron are going into Saturday’s match full of confidence - particularly due to their home advantage.
Scunthorpe are currently on a run of three successive home wins after taking scalps off Walsall, Chesterfield and Coventry in all competitions.
O’Neill says there’s a good mood in the camp following Tuesday night’s 2-1 victory over Coventry City and that they’re ready to welcome Leyton Orient to Glanford Park this weekend.
“The manager [Russ Wilcox] has believed in us at home. He pointed out to us afterwards that we haven’t lost a game at home in three now, so we just need to go into Saturday’s game full of confidence,” said 23-year-old O’Neill.
“I don’t think there are any easy games really in this division.
“We have just got to do what we did on Tuesday night.
“We are confident. The two strikers were fantastic for us on Tuesday night and it’s just the same again for us really.
“When you have won the game on Tuesday, it’s good to play soon on Saturday.
“It was a good atmosphere in training, it was sharp and hopefully we will take with us into the game on Saturday.”
