Manager Gordon Staniforth says he has no complaints after his side’s goalless draw at Millwall.
The Belles dropped two points behind FAWSL2 league leaders Sunderland, but remain unbeaten this year.
Staniforth admits his team didn’t play to their full potential.
“We are very disappointed after this one, it was just not our day. We were pretty poor so there are no complaints,” he said.
“We’re renowned for creating lots of chances and we fizzed a lot across the face of goal but there was no real quality in our finishing or creativity.”
“I think Millwall will take points off other teams, I thought they defended very well, the ‘keeper was excellent and they set their stall out to make things difficult for us and they did it very well.”
The match saw a debut for striker Courtney Sweetman-Kirk who joined the Bells from Notts County. She nearly opened her account in fine style but saw her header drift wide against Millwall.
