Epworth Colts under-12s could do little about an in-form Discoveries C-M Fish side gunning for the league title as the visitors ran out 4-1 winners at Carrside.
The away side, who have only lost once all season in the Barclays Corporate league, pounced on a depleted Colts lacking in first team regulars.
Discoveries started vey brightly and dominated the early exchanges with the Colts unable to get a foot in the game, taking the lead after Epworth failed to close down their forward, leaving Jack Lifsey no chance in goal.
Discoveries continued to press and slowly but surely the Colts managed to battle their way back into the game.
Towards the end of the first half Colts managed to put the Discoveries goal under some concerted pressure eventually winning a corner. From the set-piece, Colts managed to get there deserved equaliser with the ball bobbling around in the area and the Discoveries defence turning it into their own net.
With the start of the second half being a more even affair Colts where unfortunate to find themselves going behind again with another goal caused after the ball was not cleared.
Discoveries started to take control again and eventually won a penalty for a clumsy challenge in the area which was duly dispatched for 3-1.
Discoveries pushed on and scored another just before the final whistle.
