Hat trick heroes Karl Hope and Mark Lee booked Cross Keys Wroot into the final of the Junior Trophy following an 8-1 drubbing of Tuxford.
Wroot, who also feature in the Trinity Trophy final tonight, gave their opponents an uphill task as Lee and Phil Jackson netted inside five minutes.
Wroot’s fellow Gainsborough Sunday League Division Two rivals struggled to contain Lee who led the line admirably and an ‘unplayable’ Hope in the tie as midfield duo Ash Griffin and Matt Wiggins and defenders Kelvin Smith, Daz Downie, Steve Hill and James Longworth all hindered any chance of a Tuxford comeback - who could only offer a solitary response for a half time score of 5-1.
The second half saw Cross Keys firmly in control as they added three more. Griffin - who also scored - spurned the chance to net his second after his tame penalty barely troubled the keeper.
Wroot play BRSA in the final which is to be arranged.
Cross Keys tonight face FS Clumber at Harworth Colliery. Kick-off is 7.15pm.
