Scunthorpe United have four games left to seal their League One status - and manager Brian Laws admits they have “no chance” if they do not start to perform.
United went down 3-0 to Preston North End on Saturday, and go into Saturday’s game against Walsall third from bottom of the league.
They are level on points with Oldham, the side immediately above them in the table, so all hope is not yet lost.
But Laws concedes that if his side can’t improve on Saturday’s showing, then they will be relegated to League Two.
“If we perform like that then we have no chance,” Laws said.
“The players that we have are good enough, but it has to come from ourselves.”
Walsall are currently eighth in the table.
