TOUGH tackling teenager John Lundstram has joined Rovers on a one-month loan deal from Everton.
The 19-year-old impressed boss Brian Flynn in action for England Under 19s at the Keempoat Stadium earlier this month.
Lundstram is likely to provide cover for Paul Keegan, who is an injury doubt for this weekend’s visit of Yeovil,
However, Flynn won’t be shy of throwing the Liverpool-born youngster in against the Glovers after criticising his players’ work off the ball at Crawley on Monday night.
Lundstram has a reputation as a tough tackler who adds bite in midfield - just what Rovers have been lacking during their four-game mini-slump.
The teenager helped England Under 17s reach the semi-final of the European Championships in Serbia, and has also featured in an U17 World Cup in Mexico, where England reached the quarter final.
He has been a regular for Everton’s Under 21 team this season.
