Paul Dickov made one enforced change as Rovers travelled to Peterborough United looking for a third successive win.

Marc De Val came into the side in place of the injured Richie Wellens who was withdrawn during the win over Coventry City with a hamstring issue.

There were two changes for Peterborough with Michael Smith and Gabriel Zakuani dropping out to be replaced by Ricardo Santos and Marcus Maddison.

Maddison was just wide for Posh after a set-piece and as the first half progressed Rovers’ Harry Forrester had a right-foot shot blocked before Dean Furman shot wide.

At the other end Aaron McLean had a header saved.

De Val was booked for Rovers and his match ended shortly afterwards, being taken off injured and replaced by Harry Middleton.

The first half ended goalless and in the second half Enda Stevens had a shot saved before Rovers went agonisingly close when hitting the bar from outside the area.

Rovers had two more players yellow-carded within a five-minute spell, Reece Wasbara after 56 minutes then Paul Keegan.

Rovers had four corners in as many minutes but couldn’t make the breakthrough, with the hosts ending the match on the upper hand.
