Reece Wabara believes tonight’s FA Cup clash with Conference South side Weston-super-Mare is the perfect opportunity for Rovers to get some confidence back.
Doncaster head into the re-arranged fixture in Somerset nursing a derby day defeat to Sheffield United at the weekend.
Defender Wabara feels that this evening’s cup duty will provide a good chance to get back to winning ways.
“It’s a chance for a comfortable win and to improve the confidence,” said the 22-year-old defender.
“We have to be realistic and expect to win. If we don’t expect to win then we’ve got a problem.
“We know what we have to do. It’s important we get a result and I think everyone is on the same page now.
“It’s the FA Cup, anything can happen, every team is going to be raring to go.
“It’s going to be their cup final, they’re going to be all up for it so we’ve got to be well prepared, we’re expecting them to come flying out.”
Defenders Luke McCullough and Andy Butler have offered Paul Dickov a welcome boost ahead of the first round trip.
Both are set to travel with the squad after missing Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at the Keepmoat with McCullough on Northern Ireland duty and loan man Butler unable to play against his parent club.
Dean Furman will remain with the South African national squad until Friday.
