Epworth dominated from start to finish to record their second win of the season.

Welcoming Bradford to their home base in Thorne Trinity Academy, Epworth pegged back their opponents from the off as they went on the attack.

The Isle side pressured Bradford who had to be at their best to defend a flurry of short corners from the hosts.

However, they could do little about Epworth’s opener which came from a Jenni Owen short corner. Esther Latham rifled in a shot and Sarah Parkin got the decisive touch for 1-0.

Despite Bradford’s second half showing, Epworth notched two more for a strong 3-0 win in Yorkshire Four.

Epworth are in cup action against against Lincoln Roses on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Epworth Juniors beat Appleby Froddingham 4-0 in a friendly.

There were debuts for Tash Lightburn, Olivia Levesley and Katy Braddock with impressive performances from the likes of goalscorers Neve Latham, Levesley, Ellis and Sophie Vickers.

Scarlett Lightburn and Hattie Latham proved deadly down the right. Players’ Player was Sophie Vickers as Olivia Levesley was the Coach’s player.
