Clive Griffiths insists he will be ‘shuffling the pack’ for their welcoming of Bedford Blues at the weekend.
The Knights boast back-to-back wins in the British and Irish Cup with Pool D scalps of Cross Keys before Saturday’s last-gasp victory against bogey side Cornish Pirates.
Griffiths’ men have the chance to make it three wins on the bounce on Saturday when they welcome Bedford to Castle Park.
And the Welshman intends on using his squad to its full potential, particuarly because after Saturday, Doncaster face a break from the field before returning to Championship action away to Bristol on November 7.
“Both myself and Mikey Rayer (Bedford coach) will face a dilemma as to what team we pick bearing in mind we have next weekend off before we go back in to the bread and butter of the league and a humdinger with Bristol,” said Knights’ director of rugby Griffiths.
“We don’t want lads to be going three weeks without a games so we will try and shuffle the pack of cards as best we can to get the best result from both games.”
The Knights head into this weekend’s clash buoyed by their last-ditch heroics against the Pirates as a Paul Jarvis try and Paul Roberts conversion stole a 29-25 win at the death.
“We started off really well and finished really well. In the middle, it wasn’t pretty at times but we know they are a resilient bunch,” Griffiths said.
