Westwoodside Rangers manager Kev Blow was disappointed with his team after their 4-2 defeat in the same cup by Bruces Beacon.
Bruces claimed their second Isle scalp in as many weeks after defeating Crowle earlier this month.
Declan Bacon was again in the goals as he scored two for Division Three side Rangers, but his brace was overshadowed by Bruces’ Byron Waudby who fired in a couple in the Johnstone Insurance Nursing Cup Round Two tie.
Dave Jarvis and Jack Lissiak also struck to claim the cup spoils for Beacon.
“To be honest I was very disappointed,” said Blow.
“We had a few out through injuries and work commitments but I had enough, I feel, to really destroy a team like Bruces Beacon.
“I know they are top of Division Two but we should have been six or even seven up at the end.”
Blow credited goalscorer Bacon for his form, but rued the absence of key players following last Saturday’s defeat.
“Declan is on fire at the moment and he could’ve scored more in all honesty,” Blow told the Bells.
“But I think he ultimately missed the services of our midfielder Kyle Blow who was injured.
“We didn’t get started and were the poorest I’ve seen us play for a while - but then I am a perfectionist and expect the lads to put a shift in each week.
“That said, I would not blame anybody for the result.
“We win as a team, draw as a team and lose as a team.
“I wouldn’t swap these lads for anyone else.”
