Crowle Town Colts succumbed to a 5-1 defeat at the hands of neighbours Scunthonians in round two of the Johnstone Insurance Nursing Cup.
Crowle’s hitman Danny Smyth continued a good run of goalscoring form by netting for the home side.
However, a devastating hat trick from Daniel Barker followed by strikes from Blake Boswell and Nathan Jones proved enough for Scunthonians to send Colts crashing to defeat.
Crowle Town Colts can make amends in the EC Surfacing Ltd Sporting Shield this Saturday as they prepare to face fellow Division Two outfit Broughton Colts in the second round of the competition.
