Manager Gordon Staniforth was ‘chuffed’ with his side’s victory over Durham as the Belles kept the pressure on FAWSL2 leaders Sunderland.
Courtney Sweetman-Kirk netted her eighth of the season as Rhiannon Roberts chipped in with a header for the three points.
“I’m chuffed to bits. In the first half we were tremendous, we had lots of possession in the second half too but just couldn’t convert,” said Staniforth.
“Full credit to Durham, they packed their defence and made it difficult but we’ve chalked off another three points.
“We’ve set our standards very high, the tempo was incredible last week and we couldn’t maintain it on Saturday but a win is a win.”
Doncaster remain five points behind Sunderland who have one game to spare.
The Belles are set to finish off their campaign with games against Yeovil Town on Sunday before London Bees on October 26.
