Richie Wellens has today finalised terms that will keep him at Rovers until 2016.
The midfielder was being tracked by several Championship clubs and had held talks with some, however, manager Paul Dickov confirmed earlier this week that the 34-year-old wanted to stay with Rovers.
Wellens, a former Manchester United trainee, has made 137 appearances for Doncaster having played for the likes of Blackpool, Oldham, Leicester and Ipswich.
