Pack Together can strike Listed gold for The Queen in Sandown’s Irish Champions Weekend EBF Stallions Star Stakes.

Trained by Richard Hannon, the Paco Boy filly made a favourable impression when winning over six furlongs on her racecourse introduction at Lingfield last month.

She stayed on well at the finish that day to hold off Sulaalaat by a neck, with a couple of runners from big yards taking the minor honours.

While only one winner has emerged from the also-rans, just a handful have run subsequently so perhaps the form will look a little stronger in time when the main protagonists have had another crack.

The way Pack Together stayed on that day suggested a step up to this seven-furlong should play to her strengths though, and this looks an ideal opportunity to enhance her paddock value.

Alex Vino is the choice in the Odgers Berndston Handicap following his creditable fourth on his return at Leicester.

Winner of a maiden last September, he started life in the handicap sphere off a mark of 80 and looked set to make an immediate impact when picking up the lead two furlongs out in a mile event.

However, Alex Vino appeared to have played his hand a touch too soon as he was swamped in the final furlong eventually being beaten just under two lengths.

The handicapper left his mark unchanged after that effort and given the usual progress Sir Michael Stoute’s runners make, Alex Vino could be primed to strike here.

Devilment was thoroughly unsuited by a slow pace last time out but can make amends in the Weatherbys Stallion Book Handicap.

He raced far too keenly at Newmarket over a 10-furlong trip that was probably a bit on the sharp side for him, so it was no surprise to see him fade out of contention into fourth.

Charlie Appleby steps him right up in trip to a mile and a six furlongs here and the hint should be taken.

Snap Shots can make the most of a slight dip in company in the Bathwick Car And Van Hire EBF Novice Stakes at Bath.

A winner at Haydock in May, Tom Dascombe’s charge put up an excellent effort to finish fourth in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot, showing plenty of speed through the early part before just getting run out of it in the finish.

Dascombe then lowered his sights to Listed level at Sandown but he was slightly unlucky to come up against Beacon, who is one of the leading lights in a powerhouse Hannon juvenile team.

There was little disgrace in finishing third that day and this appears to be an easier task.

Khatiba is worth another try at six furlongs in Doncaster’s SIG Insulation Handicap despite losing out over that trip at Nottingham earlier in the month.

She struggled to go the early pace that day when dropping back slightly in distance, but should be more switched on this time.

Anjin let down favourite backers on his most recent outing but certainly should not be discounted in the 32Red Casino Maiden Handicap at Lingfield.

Closely related to The Fugue, Anjin has plenty of scope about him and just looked thoroughly in need of experience when only fourth at Yarmouth.

He just could not apply himself quickly enough that day but his mark of 65 looks an attractive starting point and he can only progress from here.

Fellow Sir Mark Prescott inmate Don’t Be is an interesting contender in Yarmouth’s Racing Welfare Handicap.

Previously trained in France, Don’t Be made a promising start when third at the seaside track last month and could yet make her mark in Britain.
