Gordon Staniforth has spoken of his disappointment following Doncaster Rovers Belles’ defeat to Everton in the Continental Cup.
The Belles boss was in reflective mood after the 3-1 loss on Merseyside but managed to draw plenty of positives despite their disappointing defeat.
Everton’s Simone Magill, Fern Whelan and Brooke Chaplen were all on target for the Blues as Doncaster’s Sue Smith replied with a second half penalty in Sunday’s cup game.
