Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Rovers striker Chris Brown on a two year deal.
Brown has become the second Rovers player to activate a relegation release clause in his contract, following Mark Duffy’s switch to Birmingham.
The 29-year-old striker joins Blackburn on a free transfer.
Brown joined Rovers on a free transfer from Preston three years ago, arriving for his second spell after a seven month loan spell from Sunderland during the 2003/04 season which ended with the old Division Three title.
Since joining permanently, Brown has made 97 appearances for Rovers, scoring 23 goals.
He was Rovers’ star man last season during a difficult campaign which ended in relegation.
