Epworth Allsorts enjoyed a winning start to their Doncaster & District Summer Netball League campaign, beating MissFits 22-4.
The Isle club’s newly-formed second team, Allsorts, took control of the game from the first whistle, taking a strong lead through GA Kira Drabble and GS Imogen Pinney who scored at every opportunity.
Team captain and GD Kirstie Hinds, alongside GK Olivia Buxton, displayed superb defensive skill - denying MissFits shooters any conversions in the first quarter.
Centre star Issy Sterling, WA Jayne Pinney and WD Lucy Gregory took control of the centre court as they worked tirelessly throughout in a bid to frustrate their opponents.
Allsorts shooters maintained their excellent conversion rate while the strong defensive combination prevented MissFits from converting their opportunities.
And with that all-round display, Allsorts finished strongly as they eased to victory. Most Valued Player went to Jayne Pinney.
