Carousel Hospital Cup Final
College Wanderers collected there second trophy of the season when they beat Epworth Town 2–0 in the final of the Carousel Hospital Cup.
In a fiercely-contested final, this scoreline hardly tells the full story.
College Wanders took the lead in the 12th minute when a sweetly stuck shot from Martin Igoe from the penalty area curled into the bottom corner.
Epworth Town then had the slight edge but were unable to convert any of the chances they created, allowing College back into the game.
Both stared the second half brightly but it was College who further increased their lead on 60 minutes when a corner from the left was swung in, and found Igoe unmarked on the edge of the six-yard area to flick the ball into the net.
Despite further efforts from both teams that remained the final score.
Division One
College Wanderers beat Limestone Rangers 1–0 with a Mark McCrea goal to win the Division One Championship for the third season in a row.
Goals from Gary Moment, Lewis Lightburn and Rich Haynes saw Epworth Town beat Swinefleet Juniors 3–2. Josh Lamming and Regan Allen replied.
Division Two
Champions Brumby finished their season off with a 7–2 win over Ashby RAOB with two goals each from Downie and Wilson and one apiece for Broughton, Dent and Lynam. Jimmy Barley and Phil Stent responded.
A Martins goal sealed promotion for Chaplins as they drew 1–1 with Bottesford Town Reserves (Ben Chafer).
Division Three
East Drayton, Bruce FC and Broughton Colts are still separated at the top of the division by two points.
Bruce finished their season off by beating East Drayton 4–2 with a Byron Waudby brace and one each for Stephen Leitch and Daniel Garner. Dan Hindle and Matt Mitchell scored for Drayton.
East Drayton now have to beat Broughton Colts next week to keep the their title hopes alive.
Goals from Josh Isaac, Jake Parker and Shaun Clark saw Broughton Colts beat Briggensians 3–0 which means that if Broughton Colts beat East Drayton next Saturday they would become Division Three champions.
