LEAGUE leaders Broughton made it five straight wins in the Broughton Evening Cricket League when dishing out a mauling to Luddington, posting a mammoth 168 for 9 with 58 not out from Nick Dobbs and 33 from Neil Simpson, Jason Whiteley picking up 4 for 37 before Luddington replied with 96 for 5, Andy Torr top scoring with 28.
Scunthorpe Scorpions moved into second place following their eight wicket victory at Brumby Hall where Appleby Frodingham made 105 for 7 with Jack Harrison hitting 40 and Kieren Watson 38 only for Ian Snowden (45) and Saikat Sarkar (31) to guide the Scorpions to 106 for 2 and finally Normanby Park were beaten by Hibaldstow in the one other game, making 76 when batting first before taking five Hibaldstow wickets in the second innings.
